Your path to optimal health

Bodywork

The physical body is the most tangible layer of self, and often the most accessible in terms of felt sense and awareness. Where relevant, yoga therapy bodywork can use various forms of therapeutic touch to relieve pain, create more easeful movement, release stuck tissues, introduce passive movement, or facilitate somatic awareness, energetic, and circulatory flow.

Where you put your mind matters…
Awareness is the first step to self-care & optimal health

Yoga therapy bodywork involves detailed assessment and the use of tailored techniques, or combinations of therapies to bring body-mind awareness on-line, enabling you to feel, move, and be as you want to be.

Bodywork techniques can help to improve range of movement, create space and communication across connective tissue networks, and create greater awareness within your body. Building awareness can help you access, and strengthen certain muscle groups to create more functional movement that feels effortless, and sustainable.

If it feels right to use bodywork as part of your care, Jane can draw on any combination of:

  • Manual therapy – passive movement, gentle manipulation, fascial mobilisation
  • Dermo-neuro modulation – cutaneous nerve release to relieve pain and improve mobility
  • Manual lymphatic drainage – clearing lymph nodes and aiding flow through lymphatic vessels to help clear fluid and toxins
  • Ayurvedic massage – traditional Ayurvedic techniques for marma point stimulation to facilitate harmonising energy flow (a deeply relaxing reset)
